Crazy Day

So we have moved! Finally! Boxes are getting unpacked daily...although there is still mounds of stuff left to do! It is starting to look more like a home each day. We have a huge yard for the boys to play in and they are loving every minute of it. The other day I was in the kitchen with my mom unpacking, I looked out our big windows out back into my neighbors yard and saw a comotion...side note...our neighbor has kind of a mini farm, they have chickens that run around everywhere, horses, goats and dogs (you need to know that to understand the rest of my story)...the horses were kind of freaking out and chickens were scattering all over the place. Turns out a couple of dogs from around the neighborhood and gotten loose and had ventured into my neighbors back yard and decided to feast on the abundant source of chickens. They were chasing them everywhere and I personally saw them kill 2 chickens (ewww...by the way!). I figured my neighbors didn't have their chickens to satisfy the local canine population so I walked next door to tell them there chickens were being ambushed, but alas no one was home. Long story short, we called my sister-in-law who called here parents (they are the people who used to live here) and they called the "chicken owner" and he sent over another neighbor to coral the delinquent dogs. I was a hero. Although 5 innocent chickens lost their lives, the casualties could have been much worse...
